Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum VS Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule. Korean skin care K-beauty Europe

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair VS Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum is a well known skin care product in Europe. Everybody heard of this serum which claims to restore the skin and help skin renewal. But not everyone can afford this expensive kind of skin care. Well, not me anyway!

I’m curious to compare Korean dupes or copies of expensive brands. Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule is an excellent example. Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule was one of the first products that started the whole trend of dupes in Korea. This serum or ampoule is said to be a dupe of Estee Lauder’s most famous serum: Advanced Night Repair. Korean laboratories seems to be able to copy any expensive skin care product, remove unnecessary additives and make the product even better. And then come up with a product or dupe at a fraction of the original price.

But is this really true? Is korean serum Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule a dupe for high end luxury serum Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair? Well, I’ve compared the two products, side by side. This is the results:

Overall feel

The feeling on the skin when applying is a silky smooth texture. Light, thin formula. This serum is easily absorbed by the skin. A nice good hydrating serum!

Overall feel

The feeling on the skin when applying is almost identical to Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair. Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule is easily absorbed by the skin which becomes hydrated and supple. The serum does leave the skin somewhat sticky.

Conclusion

YES. Absolutely dupes!

If you look closely at the ingredients list of the two products, they are quite similar in formula even if Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule has a lot more contents. Both serums has water and bifida ferment lysate as their main ingredients. Both products also have a high content of Bis-PEG-18 Methyl Ether Dimethyl Silane and Butylene Glycoll. Also chamomile, Glycereth-26 and yeast are present in both serums to name a few similarities. The secret is fermented ingredients such as yeast which is said to activate cell regeneration, present in both formulas.

I think the consistency, color and appearance of both serums are almost completely identical. The feeling on the skin is equivalent. The only thing separating the two is that Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum has a more pleasent scent of citrus while Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule doesn’t have a scent and also leaves a slightly sticky feel on the skin. Otherwise, I must say that these two serums are surprisingly similar when testing the products side by side. It’s not possible to distinguish the products just by looking at them! See the image below, Missha’s serum to the left and Estee Lauder to the right.
