Banila Co Clean It Zero VS Heimish All Clean Balm. Best cleansing balm from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

Banila Co Clean It Zero VS Heimish All Clean Balm

Let’s compare Banila Co Clean It Zero and Heimish All Clean Balm. 2 of Korea’s best oil-based cleansing products in solid balm type texture.

Banila Co Clean It Zero is the original and first! Very unique cleansing product in solid form when it was first launched in Korea some years ago. A brand new type of oil-based cleanser with a balm type texture. Heimish All Clean Balm is the new version, and said to be even more gentle to the skin and the eyes when reading reviews. Let’s put these products to the test and compare them side by side. Which one is actually the best and most effective?

Packaging

Banila Co Clean It Zero comes in a white plastic jar with a pink screw on lid. Inside there’s a soft plastic inner lid, holding a transparent plastic spatula.

Packaging

Heimish All Clean Balm comes in a solid white plastic jar. Nice looking packaging with graphic patterns and golden details. Sleek! Inside there’s a sturdy plastic inner lid holding a white plastic spatula.

Formula

Banila Co Clean It Zero resembles white stearin in the jar. The feeling when scooping up product using the spatula is roughly like stiff honey. The product melts on the skin and turns into an oily vaseline like texture that effectively melts away all makeup and impurities.

Formula

Heimish All Clean Balm resembles white stiffย stearin in the jar. The same sense of solid honey when scooping up product using the spatula. Somewhat more “matte” and a bit less greasy texture than Banila Co. Melts on the skin to an oily texture. Still a bit less oily and shiny than Banila Co. Heimish is also hypoallergenic and free fromย parabens & dyes.

Scent

I just love the fruity fresh scent of Banila Co Clean It Zero. It’s lovely!

Scent

Heimish All Clean Balm has a more “grown up” scent. I would describe the fragrance as fresh herbs and pine tree kinda scent.

Overall feel

The product is applied to dry skin. The feeling on the skin during application is very similar to petroleum jelly or vaseline. Like massaging the face with a greasy oil. The product dissolves makeup and impurities with ease.

Overall feel

The product is applied to dry skin. Heimish All Clean Balm melts on the skin and turns into a fatty greasy balm/oil. Somewhat more “matte” and less greasy than Banila Co. Easily dissolves makeup and impurities without rubbing a whole lot.

Conclusion

Banila Co is slightly oilier and softer in texture, while Heimish is somewhat firmer and more “matte”. Heimish has a solid white color while Banila is a tiny bit white/pinkish. Banila Co feels a bit “fatter” and oilier when applied, more like vaseline. Heimish feels a bit more “matte” like a balm when applied. Both products become oily in contact with the skin. Both products smell nice and fresh. Banila Co has a more fruity scent and Heimish a more “grown up” scent of pine and herbs.

Heimish has a so-called hypoallergenic formula and is free from parabens and dyes. The product is therefore suitalbe for the most sensitive skin which is a big plus. Banila Co contains mineral oil, worth mentioning if you want to avoid that.

I would recommend Heimish if you have sensitive skin or an oily skin type and like more “adult” scents. I would recommend Banila Co if you like fruity scents.

As far as the packaging goes, Heimish takes the prize because the jar feels more sturdy and expensive. Stylish design and graphic patterns with shiny golden details. Banila Co’s packaging feels more plastic and cheap to be honest. The extra inner lid inside the jar is made of translucent soft plastic in the Banila Co jar. The inner lid in the Heimish jar is made out of more sturdy white plastic, and therefore of better quality. I would recommend Heimish if you have very sensitive skin, or an oily skin type and like more “grown up” scents. I would recommend Banila Co if you like fruity scents.

When it comes to removing makeup, dirt and impurities, both products are basically equal and just as good as the other. Both melts away mascara, eyeliner, foundation and impurities with ease. Perhaps Heimish is a tiny bit more effective, and Heimish is also supposed to be more gentle to the eyes and skin. For my part, I think both products are equally effective and gentle to my skin, and none of them irritate my eyes in any way. Both products are great I feel!

Heimish wins on packaging & formula while Banila Co has a nicer scent in my opinion. Both products are basically equal when removing makeup & impurities.
