Let’s test an exciting strawberry red vitamin C serum from Korea. I’m talking about Tiam My Signature Red C Serum. Here’s my review.
Tiam My Signature Red C Serum is an exciting Korean vitamin C serum that not only contains 20% stabilized Vitamin C but also calming Vitamin B12 and Glutathione. This serum provides a brightening effect, new radiance and a smoother more even looking skin. Tiam My Signature Red C Serum both maximizes the effect of vitamin C while the serum is also calming the skin. The vitamin C serum is especially designed for acne prone skin and for removing blemishes. This vitamin C serum also interferes with the skin’s melanin synthesis and prevents pigmentation and age spots from forming. The serum smoothes out the skin tone, reduces blemishes, hyperpigmentation and sun damage. It’s also reducing acne and acne scars, healing the skin, helping skin regeneration and counteracting redness and inflammation. For healthy, clear and even looking skin with radiance. Tiam My Signature Red C Serum contains no perfume or artificial dyes. Sounds good, right?
For a long time I’ve had my eyes on Tiam My Signature Red C Serum. I’ve been eager to test and review this amazing strawberry red serum and I’m very excited to finally get my hands on it! Tiam My Signature Red C Serum comes in a dark brown glass bottle with a pipette dropper. Nothing strange there. The dark glass prevents the vitamin C from oxidizing. Check the before date and preferably keep this serum in a dark and cool place, for example in the fridge. Do not use Tiam My Signature Red C Serum with other skin care products that have high contents of AHA / BHA or retinol. In that case, you might for example use AHA in the evening and the vitamin C serum in the morning, but never mix both at the same time.
I mean, Tiam My Signature Red C Serum just looks so exciting to me. The serum itself is bright red and looks similar to strawberry syrup, how cool is that! It’s the Vitamin B12 giving this serum its amazing red color. The texture almost feels like a light glossy red oil. Tiam My Signature Red C Serum has a very special smell of vitamin and metal. The scent could have been better in my opinion, not very nice but it’s ok I guess. The serum feels thin and light on the skin and it’s absorbed in a minute. Extremely sticky feeling after application, but the stickiness disappears as soon as you continue with the next step in your skin care routine.
Tiam My Signature Red C Serum looks like a lovely liquid strawberry jam in the bottle. Jummy!
Because Tiam My Signature Red C Serum contains a full 20% pure stabilized vitamin C, I advise you to take it very slow with this serum. Start with 1-2 drops and see if your skin tolerates this product. The serum may sting and irritate the skin if you are sensitive or have
small open wounds, for example inflamed acne. Tiam My Signature Red C Serum can also be mixed with your toner or face cream to avoid irritation. I still think that this vitamin C serum works perfectly OK on my skin. I use only a few drops and I feel no stinging sensation and I se no irritation or redness on my skin. However, I use very gentle products after applying vitamin C, for example healing snail products.
Overall, I think that Tiam My Signature Red C Serum is a good serum. It’s a neat strawberry red vitamin C serum that my skin does tolerate despite the high levels of vitamin C. However, I have seen that the red color kinda remains on the skin, for example in the hairline or in the eyebrows, which I dislike. If you clean the skin with a pad the next day, it almost looks like you slept with foundation on. Therefor, I don’t like using this serum in the morning. I would mainly recommend Tiam My Signature Red C Serum specifically for targeting acne-prone skin, acne scars, blemishes and uneven skin tone as the primary purpose of this serum. Also suitable for normal skin, oily skin, combination skin, mature skin and quite ok for dry skin types as well in my opinion. However, Tiam My Signature Red C Serum is not for super sensitive skin types or rebellious inflamed or sore skin as this serum can cause redness and irritation. If you specifically want to target mature skin, wrinkles and lines then go for the original serum instead, Tiam My Signature C Source.
My sister with young acne-prone combination skin thought that Tiam My Signature Red C Serum was quite thick in the texture and that the product had an iron smell to it. She feels the serum has good absorption but the skin feels very sticky after application. However, both the red color and the stickiness disappeares as soon as the serum is fully absorbed and the next product is applied in your skin care routine. Overall a good vitamin C serum that works well on her skin.
I would mainly recommend Tiam My Signature Red C Serum specifically for acne prone skin, acne scars and blemishes. And for targeting an uneven skin tone and pigmentation.
Plus because Tiam My Signature Red C Serum is an incredibly exciting and appealing serum that looks like lovely red strawberry syrup. Plus for the high levels of vitamin C and that the serum did not cause any redness, tightening or irritation on my dry skin. Plus because this vitamin C serum seems to do wonders quickly on acne scars according to online reviews. Plus for the price that’s somewhere around 15β¬ / 30ml with free shipping from Korea. Clearly an affordable serum. Minus that some of the red color can get stuck in the hairline and the eye brows. And minus for the quite strong and very unique scent. Clearly a good and affordable Korean vitamin C serum, but not the best I’ve ever tried because of the scent and the red color. I would mainly recommend Tiam My Signature Red C Serum for targeting uneven skin tone and for treating acne and acne scars.
Tiam My Signature Red C Serum can be used both morning and evening but should not be applied at the same time as products with high levels of AHA / BHA or retinol.
