Let’s put Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask to the test. I’ve tried 2 exciting bubbly masks from Korean brand Urban Dollkiss. Here’s my review.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is a line of deeply cleansing clay masks that forms bubbles. With the help of carbon dioxide, bubbles are formed as soon as the mask comes in contact with the skin. Both Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Masks are deeply cleansing the skin, removing excess sebum, cleansing pores as well as providing a pore minimizing effect. For clean, clear and even looking skin. Apply the mask to dry skin. Let it bubble for 3-5 minutes. Massage and rinse.
The packaging of Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is cute and the masks feel exciting and modern. I immediately get the urge to try these bubbly clay masks! In the boxes there’s a white plastic spatula for application. I would describe Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask as a smooth, creamy and almost slightly rubbery gel-like face mask. The texture is thick, somewhat sticky and almost “fatty” in the jar. Like wobbly gello pudding or something. The product is not like a classic clay mask in my opinion, although it may look like it at first glance.
I have tried to apply Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask using the spatula. But it’s difficult to get an even layer, and I feel like you’re wasting product this way. It’s particularly difficult to apply the mask around the nose. A brush is definitely recommended with these clay masks I feel! It’s easier to spread an even layer using a proper brush tool. Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is guite thick and creamy in texture, almost like a concentrated gel. The scent is a mix of fresh skin care and salon mixed with glue and cleaning agents. The scent is very strong and almost overwhelming if you put your nose down the jar. I think of car cleaning or something. On the skin, however, the scent is still kinda ok. Both clay masks have the same type of scent and it could definitely use some improvements in my opinion, big minus there.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask feels very nice to apply to the skin, but they are somewhat difficult to rinse off.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask, Charcoal or Gold?
I actually find that both clay masks are completely equivalent and give the same feel and result on the skin. If you have “unclean” skin, an overproduction of sebum or if you’re suffering from enlarged pores, then go for the deep cleansing charcoal one. If you want a clear fresh skin with improved radiance, then go for gold instead. From what I understand, the gold one should also be somewhat more moisturizing, although I don’t actually notice any major difference between these masks at all, aside from the color of course.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Masks are both deeply cleansing the skin, removing excess sebum and minimizing pores.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask feels very nice, relaxing and cooling when applying the mask on dry skin. Much like a smooth, creamy and hydrating face mask. Almost immediately, Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask begin to form bubbles. And it’s fast too. In just a few minutes, the whole face is completely covered in small airy bubbles, well actually a proper foam I should say! One can possibly feel a small “tickling” effect on the skin when the bubbles are formed, but not too bad and not unpleasant in any way.
Once all the bubbles have been formed in about 5 minutes, it’s time to rinse off the Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask. If you massage the face the bubbles disappear and the mask becomes thick and creamy on the skin again. However, one must rinse and rinse and rinse. Especially if you apply a thick layer of the mask. Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask feels almost greasy and fatty on the skin. Because these masks are difficult to rinse off, I would recommend using them in the shower to remove them easier.
Afterwards, the skin feels thoroughly and deeply cleansed. The skin is fresh and clean without being the least bit sticky or greasy. I would mainly recommend Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask for oily and combination skin types. Also suitable for tired dull skin, “unclean” skin, enlarged pores and for removing excess sebum. Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is too stripping and drying for dry skin types unfortunately. Apply a hydrating serum and face cream after using theses masks. Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is both a deeply cleansing and refreshing clay mask I feel.
Overall, Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Masks work well and these are undoubtedly a couple of exciting and fun face masks. I love the packaging, and the product looks very exciting in the jar. Plus for the cooling, comfortable feeling when applied. Plus because the masks are forming a lot of bubbles, fast! Plus because the skin feels fresh and deeply cleansed after application. Minus because Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is kinda difficult to rinse off. These face masks sticks to the skin and they feel incredibly thick and “fatty”. You have to rinse many many times to get them off. Big minus because of the scent that could have been much better. Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask is a quick 3 minute mask that is difficult to rinse off but it still cleanses the skin in depth. An OK mask but not a “must have” product in my opinion unfortunately.
Urban Dollkiss Carbonated Bubble Clay Masks Gold and Charcoal are both exciting and stylish face masks, but not a “must have” product in my opinion.
