Let’s test a few masks from Korean brand Kocostar, more specifically the Kocostar Camouflage Outdoor Eye Mask and Kocostar Camouflage Nose Mask. Here’s my review.
The Kocostar Camouflage line comes with a whole range of different masks for the entire body. The Kocostar Camouflage line includes masks for both the face, lips, hair, belly, breasts, hands and feet. Today I’m reviewing their nose mask targeting pores and blackheads, and their eye mask removing dark circles.
These Kocostar Camouflage mini masks puzzle me from the very start. I was expecting some kind of blackhead removing nose strip and a hydrating eye mask. But these masks unfortunately did not do anything for my skin. These masks look pretty cheap and they are pretty much like stickers, very surprising. These products hardly even feel like skin care at all to be honest. What exactly am I missing here?
Kocostar Camouflage Outdoor Eye Mask
The eye mask Kocostar Camouflage Outdoor Eye Mask is supposed to reduce dark circles and improve radiance. These eye masks are basically like stickers that you apply under your eyes. Quite strong scent similar to detergent if you smell the packaging. These eye masks are attached to a plastic film. You simply remove them and apply them to the skin as stickers. These eye masks are so-called hydrogel masks, but it sure doesn’t feel like that to me!
In fact, I had to read on the packaging several times to check if I was supposed to wet these eye masks or something? It felt like I was missing something? These eye masks were basically like having a sticker on the skin! I mean, the Kocostar Camouflage Outdoor Eye Mask doesn’t even feel like skin care in my opinion. No result what so ever after application. I actually looked in the mirror wondering if it’s even a good idea to pull a sticker off of my sensitive under eye area? Why was there no essence in the packaging? So many questions and I really don’t get it. And this eye mask is called “outdoor”? Well, I wouldn’t wear this mask outside anyway! No thanks Kocostar Camouflage Outdoor Eye Mask, this was unfortunately not a very nice mask at all!
Kocostar Camouflage Nose Mask
Kocostar Camouflage Nose Mask is a nose strip that is supposed to remove excess sebum and blackheads and minimizing pores. This nose mask is also a kind of a sticker that you place over your nose where you have pores and blackheads. Very mild fresh skin care scent if you stick your nose inside the packaging. The nose mask is also stuck on a transparent plastic film, just like the eye mask. Wet your nose thoroughly before applying this mask. Otherwise, Kocostar Camouflage Nose Mask won’t stick properly.
Apply the Kocostar Camouflage Nose Mask to wet skin and allow the mask to dry and get stiff for about 10-15 minutes. Then carefully remove the mask from the nose. Start by pulling from the edges. I really don’t understand what I’m missing with this mask either. It’s a little painful to remove this mask actually. And there was a lot of glue left on my nose. And not a single blackhead disappeared. My tip is to really wet your nose properly before applying. I have no idea if it was my fault that this mask didn’t work at all? The glue remained on my nose and I had to scrub real hard turning red to get it off! Not OK Kocostar WTF? No thanks, I’m not very impressed by the Kocostar Camouflage line at all.
These mini masks from the Kocostar Camouflage line are probably the worst Korean masks I’ve ever tried so far. Unfortunately, lowest ratings from me!
