I have a dear friend Sara living in Seoul right now! Check out the package she sent me from Korea last week!
If you don’t already follow Sara, then check out her lovely Instagram account sharing sheet masks here: @mask_a_day. She is currently in Korea and agreed to send me a a whole bunch of wonderful k-beauty products directly from the stores in the heart of Seoul. Thank you so very much Sara! When the package is marked as a gift, you might not have to pay additional custom fees. Those are the rules in Sweden any way. I received this package in only 5 days! Incredibly fast shipping. Do you want to know what Sara bought for me?
K-beauty haul delux!
Apparently it was cheaper to buy a gift box with 2 x Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence plus the serum, than buying 2 x Essences separately. And the gift box is very luxurious as well, I love it (image below). Korea post is the best you guys, do you agree? And this package is extra special to me!

Imagine having an amazing friend in Korea who is so very nice to pick up whatever K-beauty items you need plus some well-chosen extras and then send everything to your place. Thank you so very much Sara. I have to say that there are several favorites in this K-beauty haul, products I have already tested and bought over and over again. Sara sent the package from Korea last Monday and already on Friday only 5 days later, I picked it up from the post office in Stockholm. Incredibly fast shipping!
I just love Tonymoly’s panda mascara that keeps my lashes full and perfectly curled all day without crumbling, drying or losing the shape. Etude House Moistfull Collagen Cream is such a lovely face cream suitable for most skin types. Packed with hydrolized collagen, and said to be a dupe for Clinique’s bestseller Moisture Surge. Read more about my test when I compared the face creams side by side here. And do I even need to mention the Missha gift box featuring my holy grail The First Treatment Essence and Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule that actually helped me loose a wrinkle, true story. This serum is said to be a dupe for the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair with the same key ingredients. See my full test comparing both serums side by side here.
What was the last thing you bought in terms of K-beauty? Is there any products you are curious about from my HAUL? Feel free to comment.
Hi guys. How are you? By the way, do you ever change your skin care routine from summer to winter?
Hi guys, it’s getting colder in Europe as the autumn is in full bloom right now. I hope everything is good with you guys? As you may know, I currently have SO much freelance work going on that I can’t blog as usual right now unfortunately. But I still wanted to write a few words asking how you’ve been?
I was curious to ask you guys, do you ever replace any products in your skin care routine from summer to winter? If so, what’s the difference? I myself have dry mature skin and when the weather gets colder and drier, I usually add more nutrition, lovely sheet masks and sleeping packs to maximize my skin care routine. In the summer, I use fewer and lighter products for daytime, but that’s basically over now!

I wonder if you have tried any of the Powerlite MASQ + sheet masks? This is a Swedish brand, and I’ve seen a salon in Stockholm which usually displays a lot of these sheet masks. Let’s test Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick, a cool and cooling eye cream in a stick that reduces swollen eyes and puffiness.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is a Korean eye cream in a solid stick format. Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is cooling the skin, de-puffing swollen eyes and revitalizing the skin around the eyes. For a refreshing effect whenever your eyes feel tired and tense. Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick includes ingredients like bamboo sap, glacial water and sea water. Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is also rich in minerals and it’s hydrating and soothing the skin around the eyes.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is a very exciting Korean product I think. A cooling eye cream in a handy solid stick format that you can use whenever your eyes feel swollen, tense or tired. In the morning or after a long day in front of the computer. Sounds wonderful right, here’s my review of this cute little panda.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick comes in a lovely and super cute packaging that looks like a panda. If you’re familiar with the Korean brand Tonymoly, you’ve probably already seen their popular panda line. The packaging of the stick is actually similar to a classic lip balm that turns from the bottom. The stick itself is turquoise in a solid form. The stick is quite similar looking to a matte lip balm. Fresh skin care scent with a hint of menthol.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is on of those unlikely and exciting products from Korea that you just have to try!
The packaging of Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick feels quite cheap to be honest. It doesn’t feel like the stick is properly fixed in the bottom of the jar unfortunately. The stick itself should fill the whole jar I feel, but now there’s air around the stick which causes it to move around. Just turn up a small amount of product at a time or apply this stick using your fingers.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is in solid texture and clings to the skin when applying the eye cream directly with the stick. One must gently pull the stick over the skin with a light pressure. And even then it almost feels like the stick will loosen from the packaging and fall out… The packaging can be much improved I feel, and pulling the stick like this on the sensitive skin under the eyes is probably not optimal.
The product itself is very exciting, I feel. I think about some kind of cooling cream from the pharmacy. But don’t expect a classic deeply nourishing eye cream from this product. Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is primarily about cooling and relaxing the eye area during the day, whenever your eyes need a “pick me up”. Perfect for tired, tense and swollen eyes. I almost don’t even wanna call Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick an eye cream at all. Well, I like the cooling and nice feeling on the skin when applied. The skin won’t get sticky or oily under your eyes, hardly even moisturized at all. The product kinda disappears into the skin with a cooling touch that lasts for a few minutes. The product leaves no oily film, and doesn’t feel heavy or thick on the skin, even if applied in several layers.
I see no big results on the skin except for my eyes feeling a bit more spirited and awake. I would recommend Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick for you who often feel tired in the morning, for un-puffing swollen and tired eyes, and after working in front of the computer all day long. Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick is a nice and cooling eye-stick for an immediate, fast, relaxing and refreshing effect to the eyes.
Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick provides an immediate relaxing, cooling and refreshing effect. Perfect for tired, swollen and tense eyes.
Plus for the incredibly cute panda packaging of Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick. I really like the cooling, relaxing and de-stressing feeling on the skin. Plus because the product keeps what it promises ie a refreshing cooling effect helping tired and swollen eyes. Plus, because you can easily carry the little panda in your purse and apply whenever you need during the day. Plus for the cheap price of somewhere from €5 / pc with free shipping from Korea.
Minus because the stick is not stuck properly in the jar and it it might fall out or move during application. Minus that the stick clings to the skin and it’s not that easy to apply to the sensitive skin around the eyes. I wish the cooling feeling would last longer. Overall, this is a fun and exciting product, but maybe not a “must have” eye cream in my opinion. But definitely worth €5 if you’re curious to try Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick. This is a very special and fun Korean product to be testing.
I would not even call Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick an eye cream, but it delivers as promised, spirited fresh eyes!
Product: Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick Price: €5 / 9gr Formula: Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick includes bamboo sap, glacial water and sea water. Cooling the skin, de-puffs the eyes and revitalizes the skin around the eyes. Skin type: All but especially tired, swollen and tense eyes.

Product: Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream Type of product: Face cream (mainly a night cream) Price: about 150kr / 50ml Texture: Airy shiny and “glue-like” cream Color: White Scent: Mild scent of “grandma” Skin type: Mainly mature, dry & combination skin types, maybe even oily skin as a night cram. How to use: Apply after cleansing and serum as a regular face cream day and night. Formula: Contains ginseng, niacinamide, orchid extract, calendula extract, hyaluronic acid, adenosine, centella asiatica extract and honey. Good: The skin becomes incredibly soft, plump and fresh by this face cream. Cheap price for this kind of quality. Bad: Maybe the special somewhat “glue-like” texture is not for everyone Result on the skin: The skin feels nourished, moisturized, soft and fresh without being greasy or sticky. The skin becomes smooth and resilient after application. Buy again: YES absolutely!
FULL REVIEW Rating 4.9 / 5
“I love this face cream, I don’t ever want it to run out.” When you save a product to the last drop then it’s good stuff let me tell you. I fell in love with Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream from the very first moment I tried it, read my first impression review here.
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is a very unique Korean face cream. The texture is quite airy but at the same time somewhat “glue-like” almost like a snail cream. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream feels incredibly soft and gentle on the skin. A little goes a long way, and the skin feels so soft, nourished and moisturized after application. I feel that my skin has become more elastic, supple and resilient after using Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream for many weeks.
The only negative about Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream might be the “gluey” texture that may not be for everyone. When you open a new jar, the face cream is almost viscous, but it soon becomes more “solid” the more you use it. I don’t know if it’s because of the contact with air? Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream becomes sticky around the opening of the jar because of the somewhat “glue-like” texture.
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream has a light but at the same time somewhat “glue-like” texture. This is a very unique Korean face cream.
This is an awesome face cream in my opinion. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream feels premium. The face cream comes in a glass jar with a lovely packaging. Mild embracing nursing skin care scent, like a hug from grandma. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is a nice cream and will last you for a long time, a little goes a long way.
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is nicely absorbed by the skin without feeling greasy or oily. The face cream really makes a difference for the skin in my opinion. My skin feels fresh, full and very soft after application. Nicely moisturizing and your skin becomes smooth as a baby. Somewhat sticky feeling, but not too bad at all. I will definitely buy this cream over and over, and recommend it to friends and family!
I love using Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream! The skin turns soft, supple, smooth and moisturized in a nice way.
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream costs about €15 with free shipping from Korea, and it’s worth every penny in my opinion! A very nice face cream. When you don’t want the jar to end and you know you’re gonna miss the product then you’ve found a darn good face cream. Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is mainly suitable for normal, dry, mature and combination skin types. But it might even work for oily skin as a night cream. Just give this cream a try, you wont regret it!
Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream can be used as a classic night cream, but also as a massage cream or a sleeping mask / sleeping pack. Among the ingredients of Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream you will find ginseng, niacinamide, orchid extract, calendula extract, hyaluronic acid, adenosine, centella asiatica extract and honey.
It’s an incredible quality you get for just €15! Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream is highly recommended by me.
Welcome to a new amazing week in K-beauty Blog. I have something to tell you…
Hi guys, did you have a fun weekend? I myself went to “Gröna Lund” (an amusement park in Stockholm). Apparently, they offered half price tickets and this was the last weekend before closing for the fall from what I understand. Well, my 4-year-old was completely traumatized and in tears by “Lustiga Huset” (The Fun House) and the “Love Tunnel” scared her to death, a dark tunnel with scary strange characters you enjoy by boat! After going to the children’s section though, things got better and went smoothly from there. She even got the courage to try some of the faster carousels in the end. I just can’t cope with things that spin, but luckily my husband can. Do you like to ride extreme attractions at the amusement park or tivoli?
I do have something I need to tell you guys. I just landed a great freelance job as a web designer, aka my “real job”. It’s a full-time job and unfortunately, this means I’m not going to be able blog as frequently as before, at least for a while. I don’t really know what this means, but I’ll keep you updated. This will be the last “ordinary” week in the blog for a while …
SO, this week I’m planning to review one of my absolute favorite face creams from Korea, namely Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream. The jar is now empty and I’ll share my overall results on the skin, and why I recommend this face cream so much to several skin types. Full review after 2 months of use coming up this week. I will also review Tonymoly Panda’s Dream So Cool Eye Stick. A really innovative and affordable eye cream that is cooling and de-puffing tired swollen eyes. I’ll share my review this week. I also thought about showing you some “behind the scenes” photos from my actual home. Imagine a sea of K-beauty, you just don’t wanna miss that OMG!
Have a beautiful Monday everyone, see you the K-Beauty Blog for sure!
Let’s test a very exciting Korean 24K gold face mask. Here’s my review of Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask!
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is a Korean peel off mask that contains pumpkin and 24K gold. The face mask exfoliates the skin and it’s “detoxifying” removing toxins, dead skin cells and impurities. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask balances the oils in the skin, reduces enlarged pores, soothes the skin and gives a refreshing effect and new radiance. Apply the face mask on dry clean skin, allow it to dry. Then pull the mask off starting from the edges. Finish off with a toner if necessary. Use Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask 1-2 times / week for a fresh and healthy looking skin with radiance. This golden face mask is ideal for treating enlarged pores, an uneven skin tone, excess oil / sebum and for dull skin that lost its natural glow.
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask comes in a sturdy plastic tube with fun prints on it. No luxury packaging and the product is definitely targeted towards a younger audience. I have previously tested Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack from the same line which I love, se image below.
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask has a mild and fresh scent of skin care / hair care with a hint of rubber or glue. The color pigments of the mask feels concentrated by this shiny golden color. I love the metallic glowy finish on the skin. The texture of Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is similar to glue and the product feels slightly sluggish when applied to the skin, probably because the mask dries quite quickly. One have to apply it somewhat fast to get it even all over the face. Avoid getting Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask in the hairline or the eyebrows, because it sticks to hair. Try to apply an even layer on your entire face avoiding the lips and eye area.
One have to squeeze out more and more product out of the tube to cover the entire face. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask feels really gentle, cooling and nice on the skin when applied. The face mask feels almost like a cool soft cream or yogurt on the skin. The lovely metallic golden color on the skin looks amazing. I just love the shiny finish. The cooling, relaxing feeling disappears after a few minutes when the face mask starts to dry.
If you have been curious to try a Korean gold mask, then Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is a really affordable option!
When Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask has dried, the skin feels stiff. Like having a layer of dried glue on your face. As soon as Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask has fully dried, one can gently start pulling off the face mask starting from the edges. If you applied a nice thick layer then it kinda hurts a little bit to peel off the face mask in some places, for example on the cheeks. Not too painful and it’s OK. The mask stays together pretty good I think, at least if you were able to apply an even fairly thick layer from the start. One can easily remove remaining pieces around the hairline and eyebrows using a toner on a cotton pad, or by rinsing the face in water.
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is a really fun and cool looking face mask. I mean, who doesn’t wanna have skin made of 24K gold! Wonderful. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is a very instagram-friendly face mask, no doubt about that. Afterwards, the skin feels clean, smooth and fresh without being the least sticky, greasy or oily. Dry skin can feel tight after application, and you do feel peeled off as if you have been waxed or something, at least if you applied a thick layer. However, I would not call Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask a deeply cleansing mask. It’s more of an exfoliating and refreshing face mask that provides smoother looking skin with new improved radiance.
I see no major results on blackheads and pores unfortunately. But on the other hand, the skin looks fresh with a lot of super small sparkling micro gold particles covering the skin. Nothing crazy glittery but very subtle. One have to look closely to see them and the glow looks amazing in sunlight. Wonderful! The perfect face mask before going out clubbing on a Saturday night in other words.
Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is perfect for refreshing tired dull skin that has lost its natural glow.
I would mainly recommend Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask for normal, combination and oily skin types, and tired dull skin that lost its natural radiance. And for you who love peel off masks. The golden face mask also removes excess sebum minimizing enlarged pores. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask claims to be suitable for sensitive skin as well, but I’m not sure about that. It hurts a bit to peel off this mask from the skin, not too bad but nothing for the super sensitive.
Plus because Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask is incredibly affordable, fun and exciting to use as the skin appears to be made of pure gold. Plus for the lovely cooling feeling when applied. Plus, because the face mask is quick to use and holds together well when peeling it off the skin, at least if you applied a fairly thick layer. Plus because the skin feels even and fresh looking after application without being the least greasy or oily.
Minus because you have to use quite a lot of product to cover the entire face. Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask also contains alcohol worth mentioning. Over all a fun, exciting and good looking face mask in my opinion. Absolutely worth testing, especially if you find it on sale! Full price is about €14 with free shipping from Korea.
I wouldn’t call Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask a deeply cleansing mask, rather a refreshing mask that gives smoother skin and new sparkling radiance.
Product: Too Cool For School Pumpkin Purifying 24K Mask Price: €14 / 100ml | Best price search ➥ Formula: Contains pumpkin and 24K gold. This face mask is detoxifying, removing impurities and toxins from the skin. Skin Type: Combination and oily skin types, dull skin and enlarged pores

FULL REVIEW rating 4.9 / 5
I have tested all sheet masks from the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line. Firming, Hydration and Pore Tightening. Here is my full review.
The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line consists of 3 different Korean sheet masks that are all moisturizing and deeply nourishing the skin. This line includes “Hydration”, “Firming” and “Pore Tightening”. These sheet masks are made out of an ultra soft microfiber material and soaked in lovely deeply nourishing essence. Among the ingredients in this sheet mask line, you will find egg extract, coconut water, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide and botanical extracts that provide deep moisturization, nutrition and radiance. Coconut water provides immediate hydration and rapidly penetrates into the skin. Niacinamide helps fresh looking skin with new radiance and glow, and boosts the skin at a cellular level. Egg extracts are deeply nourishing the skin.
The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line is incredibly popular and loved by many. I’m so looking forward to sharing my thoughts on all 3 sheet masks from this line. Here’s my review on Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration, Pore Minimizing and Firming.
The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Masks comes in nice packages in neutral pastel colors. The packaging itself is rounded and feels a bit smaller than ordinary square shaped sheet masks. The packaging is decorated with lovely drawings of the actual ingredients in these masks. The sheet mask is attached to an extra plastic mesh type mask for stability. Remove the plastic mesh mask and apply the sheet mask on your skin. The material of Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask is incredibly soft like the softest baby cotton fabric. The material is still sturdy and of good quality I feel. The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Masks sits tight to the skin in every area of the face. Very nice adherence. Good fit I feel. Because the essence of all these sheet masks is fairly thick and sticky, the sheet masks remain in place without moving or slipping throughout the whole treatment period. Really nice!
The essence of the sheet masks from the Too Cool For School Egg Cream line varies slightly. “Hydration” and “Firming” both have a creamy white milky essence which I love. The essence looks almost like a lotion in the packaging and feels slippery and almost “slimy” on the soft material of the masks. The “Pore Minimizing” sheet mask has a translucent essence that looks like a fluid light gel. All sheet masks have an incredibly mild and embracing skin care scent that isn’t too much. All sheet masks stay moist & hydrating the skin well over recommended 20 minutes without drying at all. I think about mummies because you do feel embraced and wrapped like a cocoon wearing these sheet masks. I just love the Too Cool For School Egg Cream line! No mask for the claustrophobic though.
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration A moisturizing sheet mask. Milky, creamy, slippery and “slimy” essence, looking like a white lotion. Nice, cooling and comfortable feeling on the skin throughout the treatment period. Mild skin care scent. Sticky feeling when you pat in the remaining essence. The skin feels cool and properly deeply nourished and moisturized without the skin being shiny or oily. You simply look fresh. Perfect for dry skin types or tired dull skin thirsting for nutrition.
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Pore Tightening
A pore tightening sheet mask. The essence is similar to a translucent, light-flowing and slippery sticky gel. Incredibly fresh sheet mask. Feels moisturizing, cooling and refreshing on the skin. Mild skin care scent, and it smells nice although I liked this scent the “least” out of the three if I had to pick. The cooling relaxing feeling persists throughout the whole treatment period. Sticky feeling when patting in the remaining essence. The skin is incredibly fresh looking with improved radiance. And my pores actually look less visible on my nose, amazing. The skin feels properly moisturized after application.
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Firming
Firming sheet mask perfect for mature skin. Milky, creamy, slippery and “slimy” essence looking like a white lotion. Cooling and de-stressing relaxing feeling on the skin. Mild wonderful skin care scent, my favourite scent out of these three sheet masks. After application, the skin is fresh and nourished with new radiance without the skin feeling greasy or oily. Not very sticky feel at all, and the essence is nicely absorbed by the skin. Perfect for mature and dry skin types.
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line is simply great. If you have dry or mature skin then go for Firming or Hydration. If you have enlarged pores then Pore Minimizing sheet mask will provide visible results.
The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line feels incredibly nice, cooling and de-stressing on the skin throughout the treatment period. All sheet masks are properly soaked in creamy or gel like essence. And the material of these masks is just so wonderfully soft. This is a line of deeply hydrating, moisturizing, nourishing and softening sheet masks perfect for dry skin types I feel. The Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line feels premium. These are good quality sheet masks in my opinion. I would highly recommend using Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask in the evening, because you don’t really want to put on makeup after using these lovely masks. The skin feels thoroughly nourished, soft and moisturized after using these sheet masks.
I would highly recommend the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line for normal, dry, mature and combination skin types. If your skin needs deep care and a nourishing sheet mask, then “Hydration” and “Firming” are perfect. The essence is rich, creamy and nourishing. Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask “Pore Minimizing” has a lighter transparent gel-like essence. Suitable for enlarged pores and normal to dry and combination skin types. You do feel properly moisturized after all three sheet masks.
My pores looked less visible after using Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Pore Minimizing sheet mask. I love the results!
Big plus for the material of the sheet masks in the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line. These are sturdy masks but at the same time they are incredibly soft and comfortable. The material is like a fine cotton fabric. Plus for the mild embracing scent and the lovely nourishing essence. Plus because all sheet masks sits incredibly good on the skin throughout the treatment time without drying or slipping. Nice adherence. Some might think that the essence is too sticky or “slimy” possibly? The price of Too Cool For School Egg Cream Masks are slightly more expensive than many other Korean sheet masks as they cost from about €3 / pc. But still definitely worth every penny in my opinion.
I don’t have much negative to say about the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line. These are some awesome sheet masks! “Hydration” and “Firming” are my favorites because of the lovely white creamy essence and the scent. “Pore Minimizing” gave me visible results on my pores. The mask also felt slightly lighter and more refreshing than the other two. All the sheet masks from the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line are highly recommended by me!
Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask is a line of affordable high quality sheet masks in my opinion. Highly recommended!
This week is all about Too Cool For School in K-beauty Blog. A very popular, playful and creative Korean beauty brand.
Hi guys, I hope you’ve all had a nice and cozy weekend? Oh my, it’s so cold in Stockholm this morning. From like +17-20C for the past couple of days down to +7C this morning brrrr. What kind of weather do you have in your country right now?
I’m going to start this week by mentioning the Dermaheal brand from Caregen. A Swedish salon brand, developed and manufactured in Korea. All products are based on a whole range of effective and patented peptides. Thank you so very much @caregennordic for letting me test all of these lovely products from Dermaheal. I just recently tried the Dermaheal Vitalizing line. A rich and deeply nourishing skin care line, mainly suitable for dry skin types. The luxurious packaging makes me think of Estee Lauder, and the quality of these products is very good in my opinion. Highly recommended for dry skin types. In the image below on everything I will test from Dermaheal. There are different skin care lines, sheet masks, cleansing, hair care and brow & lash serum. I’m so excited you guys.
This week I thought about reviewing and sharing some very nice products from the popular Korean brand Too Cool For School. I have tested some of their most loved skin care products, including the beautiful golden mask Pumpkin Purifying 24K Gold Mask and all 3 sheet masks from the wonderful Egg Cream Mask line. All these products are top sellers at Sephora and loved by many. I will review all of them in K-beauty Blog this week!
I would also like to send an extra huge thank you to wonderful Caroline @carolinerosenqvist who sent me the Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask Hydration. I had the other 2 masks from the Egg Cream Mask line but “Hydration” always seemed to be sold out everywhere. Caroline was very kind to sent it to me along with some other lovely K-beauty goodies, see image above. This means I will be able to share and review all 3 masks from the Too Cool For School Egg Cream line in the blog this week yey. I’m so looking forward to that. Hands up for lovely Caroline! <3
Have a nice week everyone. Tomorrow we’ll start with this week’s first Too Cool For School review hihi. See you in K-beauty Blog!
Let’s test Etude House Jelly Lips Patch, an exciting Korean lip mask from Etude House. OMG I look crazy wearing these. Here’s my review.
Etude House Jelly Lips Patch is a Korean lip patch or lip mask that makes the lips hydrated, plump and soft. Etude House Cherry Jelly Lips Patch contains vitalizing cherry extract, collagen and hyaluronic acid. Etude House Honey Jelly Lips Patch contains softening and nourishing honey, proplis and royal jelly.
I’m SO excited to testing the Etude House Jelly Lips Patch you guys. I feel those type of lip masks are very hyped and popular in social media right now. I have no expectations of these lip masks, and this is actually the first lip patch I’m testing of this kind. I am testing both the Honey and Cherry one.
You simply pull the back of the packaging to access the lip mask itself. There is one lip mask in each package and it is soaked in gel-like translucent essence. Etude House Jelly Lips Patch is a kind of gel mask, and feels like slippery silicone or a soft plastic material. Etude House Jelly Lips Patch masks are soft and slippery. Be careful when you pick them up not to drop the mask or putting your nails into it. I feel it could then break.
From start when there’s a lot of essence on the lip mask, it’s slippery as it moves around a lot, especially the pink cherry mask. It is absolutely impossible to move your mouth because the mask will then fall off. I put the smooth side on my lips. It feels like having a sealed plastic mask on your lips and all the essence is effectively locked in tight to the lips to make them soft and moisturized. You can adjust the position of the lip mask as it might slide down at the beginning of the treatment period. But after a few minutes, Etude House Jelly Lips Patch sits nicely without moving a whole lot. Slightly cooling relaxing and moisturizing feeling on the lips during the treatment period.
It’s fun using the Etude House Jelly Lips Patch. I really understand why lip masks have become so popular and hyped in social media. I look crazy wearing them.
Etude House Cherry Jelly Lips Patch
The cherry lip mask is revitalizing, treating dry flaky lips. The lips are supposed to get moisturized and plump. Contains cherry extract, hyaluronic acid and collagen. Etude House Cherry Jelly Lips Patch has a mild scent of sweet artificial cherries. Not too strong of a scent but quite nice and you do kinda feel the scent during the treatment period. Etude House Cherry Jelly Lips Patch is a lovely looking pink lip mask and the essence is like a translucent light-flowing gel. The mask will slide off, especially at the beginning of the treatment period. The feeling on the lips is cooling and “locked in” by the plastic. The lips feel smooth and soft after application. Maybe my lips are somewhat more plump but no wow effect unfortunately. This is the prettiest lip mask out of the two.
Etude House Honey Jelly Lips Patch
The honey lip mask is nutritious and moisturizing, helping the elasticity of the lips. The lip mask includes ingredients like honey, propolis and royal jelly. Perfect for dry flaky lips that easily chap. The scent is mild towards honey but no pure honey scent would I say. Difficult to describe the scent. The essence of the honey mask feels a slightly bit thicker and more “sticky” than the cherry mask. Etude Etude House Honey Jelly Lips Patch therefor sits better against the skin without slipping too much. A cooling relaxing feeling during the treatment period. Afterwards, the lips felt hydrated, soft and smooth. This was my favorite mask out of the two.
Afterwards, the lips feel saturated with moisture and soft and smooth, but absolutely not greasy, oily or sticky. The essence is rather like a light moist gel and absorbed into the lips completely, almost disappearing. Etude House Jelly Lips Patch makes your lips soft and smooth without flakiness or dry areas, the result is nice immediately after application for both masks!
Overall, I think that Etude House Jelly Lips Patch is a fun and incredible Instagram friendly lip mask, but it’s not a “must have” type product in my opinion. If you find it for like €2-3, then it’s definitely worth testing, but don’t ever pay more than tops €3-4 for this lip mask. The feeling on the lips during the treatment time is like an air-tight soft piece of plastic with a somewhat “cooling” effect. After 10 minutes the lips feel almost sweaty and itchy. Recommended treatment time for Etude House Jelly Lips Patch is 10-15 minutes and that’s perfect I feel. Afterwards, the lips are smooth, saturated with moisture and feel a little warm.
Etude House Jelly Lips Patch does the job and the lips become soft and smooth without dry areas or flakiness. Certainly an OK result, but the effect is not very long-lasting unfortunately!
The Etude House Jelly Lips Patch masks are suitable for anyone who wants to try a hydrating and softening special treatment for the lips. I would recommend a lip scrub before applying these lip masks. Use Etude House Jelly Lips Patch on clean and exfoliated lips for maximum effect. Feel free to finish off with a nourishing lip balm.
Plus for the inviting and fun packaging. The whole concept makes you curious to testing the Etude House Jelly Lips Patch. Plus because these lip masks are really big and cover the entire mouth and the area around it. This product absolutely works, even though the effect is short-lived. Minus because the lip mask (especially cherry) moved around at the beginning of the treatment period, and almost fell off. I had to tighten it several times and keep the lips completely still while using the mask. I had wished for even better results, and that the lips had felt a bit more moisturized or something. They did not at all. Clearly approved, but not a “must have” product in my opinion. Etude House Jelly Lips Patch is primarily an amusing lip mask aimed towards a young audience I feel. Perfect for a fun spa evening with friends.
My favorite Etude House Jelly Lip Patch is the yellow “honey” one because it has somewhat better adherence. But the pink “cherry” one is the prettiest one by far! Both masks have the same effect on the lips.

Let’s talk about Korean primers. I have tested some of the very best and most popular ones! Sharing my top 4 best tips on primers from Korea!
A primer is applied after your usual skin care routine but before putting on makeup. A primer serves as a base for foundation and makeup to even out the skin. A primer can also hide pores, provide sebum control, SPF and helping makeup last for longer. If you have problems getting your foundation even, or if your makeup cracks or breaks, or even disappears during the day? Then try using a primer. I have tested several Korean primers by now, and they are really good and incredibly affordable and cheap. I will never buy a primer paying more than €10 ever again. Here are my best tips for Korean primers, all skin types.
Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm
Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm comes in a lovely golden egg that looks really luxurious on the bathroom shelf. The texture of this primer is very very unique. It’s kinda tricky to scoop some out of the jar. A soft and silky almost “plastic” thick balm. It kinda falls into pieces trying to grab it. “Varm up” some product between your fingers before applying to the skin. This primer has the nicest scent of sugar sponge cake with a slight hint of lemon. Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm covers up pores and bumps. The skin becomes smooth and matte. A perfect base for makeup without the skin feeling neither dehydrated nor sticky. I usually use Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm mainly around the T-zone to cover up pores and smoothing out the skin. You can use quite a bit without getting smeared. I recommend Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm to anyone with enlarged pores and uneven skin. Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm is the most unique and exciting primer I’ve ever tested from Korea. The product costs about 7€ with free shipping from Korea. Absolutely worth testing if you suffer from enlarged pores and uneven skin. I want this ➥
Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer
Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer is a “hard core” primer for those use a lot of makeup and want the makeup to last for hours. The texture of Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer is properly thick, sluggish and very concentrated. You have to squeeze firmly on the tube to get the product out. Light beige color. Somewhat “silky” creamy feeling on the skin. Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer doesn’t feel heavy or greasy on the skin even though it’s very concentrated and thick. Fresh mint-like scent. The skin becomes even and smooth, and the pores are less visible. The makeup also looks better I feel. Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer does matte down the skin some, but still retains a natural glow. Controls the sebum without drying out the skin. If you are using a lot of makeup or looking for a primer for evening use, then Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer is my best tip. It’s suitable for most skin types. From normal to combination and oily skin, enlarged pores and even dry skin if you moisturize properly before using it. Also good if your foundation tends to “slide off the skin”. I really recommend Innisfree No Sebum Blur Primer. It costs about 8€ with free shipping from Korea, and that’s incredibly cheap for this kind of quality in my opinion. I want this ➥
Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Primer
Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Primer is said to be a perfect dupe for the expensive but oh so popular Benefit Porefessional Primer. A typical smooth, soft and silky silicone-like primer that glides on the skin with ease. Beige transparent color. Mild skin care scent. The skin becomes smoother, more matte and pores are less visible. The makeup lasts for longer with sebum control without drying out the skin. If you’ve never tested a primer before, then Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Primer just perfect to start with. A really good quality primer in my opinion and worth every penny. Suitable for most skin types. Aritaum Pore Master Sebum Control Primer costs about 9€ with free shipping from Korea. Highly recommended for normal, combination, oily and dry skin. It’s simply awesome! If you have oily skin than also take a look at Aritaum Pore master Sebum Control Matte Gel here. I want this ➥
Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++
Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++ is a moisturizing & hydrating primer with a brightening effect that gives the skin a healthy fresh radiance. 3-in-1 multi filter effect that adjusts the light on the skin. The texture is similar to a concentrated light pink and light-flowing “sun milk”. This primer is completely different from the other primers mentioned above. The skin doesn’t get flat matte with Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++ , but gets this lovely radiance. The skin feels moisturized & hydrated. The product may even be used as a day cream I feel. Mild skin care scent. I mainly recommend Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++ for normal and dry skin types, and for tired dull skin that lost its luster. Also nice for mature skin. This is the primer for those who want radiance, a brightening effect, and to make your makeup last longer. It’s moisturizing the skin and providing a natural finish with a healthy glow. Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++ also includes sun protection which is a big plus. A multi tasking product that provides a very nice base for makeup. Etude House Face Blur SPF33/PA++ costs about 11€ with free shipping from Korea. It’s a really nice one! I want this ➥
I experience that my skin is looking more even using a primer. My foundation looks better and the makeup lasts for longer. Above an image with and without using primer. Bare skin on the left and using Tonymoly Egg Pore Silky Smooth Balm on the right.
What do you want to get out of your primer? Cover up pores? Sebum control? A more even smooth complexion? New radiance? Have your makeup last longer? Feel free to comment and share your thoughts.
