Last week, you may have seen my mini unboxing video on Instagram stories as I got my package from Korea. And today I’ll share my entire order from Jolse (AKA iamlove-shop on Ebay). The best thing about JOLSE / iamlove-shop is that they have this incredibly wide range of K-beauty products, always low prices, free shipping and free samples with every order. Today I’ll share which Korean products I am most keen to test out right now. And which products I order over and over again, and happily recommending them to friends and family. And to you amazing readers of course. Let’s do this, time for a luxurious K-beauty haul!

On the shopping list I had included both new Korean products I wish to try and review, and good old ones I already love and want to buy again and again. Shipping with iamlove-shop / JOLSE takes about 3 weeks from Korea to Europe and you can count on a lot of free samples. This time I even got a full size hand cream and a sheet mask, plus a lot of other fun samples. The order was a total of €160 with free shipping from Korea, and customs were €23 to Sweden. Customs might be different or even free in your country. Make sure to check before ordering.

Total order price was €160 + €23 (in customs) for 16 full size products. That’s €11.40 / product on average including customs fees. So regardless if you have to pay customs, it’s still much cheaper than to shop for K-beauty from European stores. Plus you get a lot of free samples with your order.

First time seen live in this blog. Here are some Korean products that I myself am super stoked to try this fall! A reader actually recommended me the It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Emulsion, and everything I’ve tried from this line is absolutely wonderful. Skinfood’s fantastic best-selling sugar scrub masks are very nice and affordable you guys, and who can resist strawberries! I’ve also had my eyes on Neogen Real Fresh Foam Blueberry which seems like a modern and innovative cleanser. I’m also curious about the Skinfood Egg White Pore Mask. Have you tried any of these Korean products before, what did you think? Feel free to share a comment below. I will of course share more about these products in the near future.

Here is an amazing selection of Korean products that I highly recommend to friends and family, and to you lovely readers of course! Farmstay Snail Repair Eye Cream is a light and fresh eye cream with good absorption, unreasonably cheap costing as low as €4.50! COSRX Oil-Free Ultra-Moisturizing Lotion is a wonderfully refreshing moisturizer that is ideal for acne-prone skin, combination skin and oily skin types. Really nice indeed. COSRX Acne Pimple Master Patch keeps bacteria away and speeds up the healing process of pimples. Costing from €3.50 / 24 patches. And last but not least, the Tonymoly Egg Pore Nose Pack Package which is one of the cheapest and most effective nose strips available in my opinion. Only €4.50 / 7 strips, so that’s about €0.60 / pc.

What was your last order from Korea? And above all, what’s on your wish list? Feel free to share in the comments.

FULL REVIEW: Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam

Review after 2+ months of use

Product: Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam
Type of product: Foam cleanser
Price: 150ml / 10€
Texture: Classic creamy soap texture with grains inside
Color: Shiny pearl white
Scent: Fresh skin care scent
Skin type: Most skin types, except for red or wounded skin
How to use: Take a small amount of product in your hands and add a few drops of water. Make the product foam, then apply to your face. Use circular motions to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, then rinse. Use less water for more tearing, and more water for less tearing.
Formula: Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam contains white lupine seed, extracts from daisies, quinoa and willow bark.
Results on the skin: The skin feels soft, clean and fresh after use. In addition, the grains have an exfoliating effect on the skin helping to remove dead skin cells. Slightly tight feel on dry skin types after use, but nothing major.
Good: Concentrated formula, and a little goes a long way. Packed with exfoliating grains. Makes a nice creamy foam. Fresh scent. Large tube. Works for daily use as the exfoliation is not too sharp or harsh. An incredibly affordable foam cleanser. Almost like 2 products in 1.
Bad: I dislike getting tearing grains on my sensitive eye lids.
Buy again: Maybe?

FULL REVIEW Rating 4/5

Both me and my sister have each tested a tube of Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam. A tearing exfoliating cleanser for every day use. Here’s my review.

Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is a Korean water based foam cleanser. It contains exfoliating grains and it’s made for daily use. Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam gently exfoliates the skin removing dead skin cells from the surface. The product deeply cleanses the skin with a brightening effect. Contains white lupine seed, extracts from daisy, quinoa and willow bark.

Review Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Korean exfoliating foam cleanser from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam comes in a large white plastic tube with black and gray prints on it. Neat and handy, nothing strange there. The product is a foaming cleanser that contains exfoliating grains and can be used every day. Works great for double cleansing, or as a single cleanser if you prefer that. Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam can almost even be used as an exfoliating scrub in my opinion, just add less water to make it sharper. Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam basically resembles a foam cleanser and a facial scrub all in one single product.

Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is creamy and concentrated in its formula. The product itself has that white soap pearl sheen to it. The fresh skin care scent is really nice. The scent is just perfect and doesn’t get too heavy at all in my opinion. Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam contains a lot of exfoliating grains. The grains are quite large but not too sharp, and they also melt gradually as you add water and starts to cleanse the skin.

Review Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Korean exfoliating foam cleanser from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

Overall I like Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam. The product foams up easily and cleanses the skin efficiently. The foam is really creamy and very nice. I use this product mainly in the evening routine and immediately after using an oil-based cleanser. When wearing a lot of makeup, it feels good to use this tearing cleanser for a deeper cleanse. I feel like Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam cleanses the skin more efficiently when removing a lot of makeup than many other cleansers. An exfoliating cleanser with quite a lot of tear, yet gentle enough for every day use. You can easily adjust the amount of sharpness by adding more or less water. The grains melt gradually while cleansing the skin.

My sister with young acne-prone combination skin thinks that Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is a perfectly OK cleanser, but no favorite. She likes that the cleanser foams well, feels gentle on the skin and have a nice scent. The skin feels clean and fresh after use. However, she does think that the grains are too big and kinda roll around on top of the skin while scrubbing instead of going deeper. She therefore rates Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam at 3/5.

Review Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Korean exfoliating foam cleanser from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is a mix between a foam cleanser and an exfoliating scrub mask. Almost like 2 products in 1!

I really only have one problem with Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam. Because this is a daily cleanser, you probably want to wash your entire face, right. I like the tear and the exfoliation, but I definitely do not like sharp grains near the sensitive eye area. And when using makeup you need to be able to wash the eyelids too I feel. One tip is to start cleansing where you want exfoliation, and then finish in the sensitive areas when most of the grains have melted and almost disappeared.

Review Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam Korean exfoliating foam cleanser from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

If you want a foaming cleanser and tearing grains in one single product, then Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is absolutely perfect. This cleanser is gentle enough to be used every day and it’s suitable for most skin types I would say. Although it’s primarily recommended for mature and dry skin. I think this product fits most, from normal, dry and mature skin types to combination and oily skin. Dry skin might feel a little tight after use, but not too bad. If you have sensitive skin that often reacts to skin care, then go very easy with the grains. If you suffer from red areas, irritated skin, sore acne or inflamed skin, then this cleanser might be too harsh for everyday use. Add more water and let the grains melt for a softer exfoliation.

I just have one problem with Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam, I don’t like sharp grains on my eyelids!

Plus because Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is an effective foaming cleanser full of exfoliating grains, gentle enough for every day use. Plus because the tear can be slightly adjusted with the amount of water. Plus for the nice fresh skin care scent. Plus as this product foams well and cleanses the skin efficiently. Plus for the cheap price of such a generous tube. Minus that the grains also tears on the sensitive skin in the eye area. My sister didn’t think the exfoliation was deep enough for her skin. Overall a good and affordable foam cleanser that keeps its promises. If you want gentle exfoliation in your daily routine, then Thefaceshop White Seed Exfoliating Cleansing Foam is a really good choice in my opinion. Almost like 2 products in 1.

More about Tonymoly Appletox & Tomatox massage masks

I have tested Tonymoly Appletox and Tonymoly Tomatox gentle massage masks. Today I’ll tell you more about these 2 unique Korean products.

Tonymoly Appletox VS Tomatox exfoliating massage masks face masks from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe
Tonymoly Appletox VS Tomatox exfoliating massage masks face masks from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

I mean the packaging! OMG these Korean massage masks are just too adorable. Korean brand Tonymoly is one of the best on creating lovely, fun and innovative packaging. I’m talking about colorful and irresistible jars that makes you wanna buy the product at first sight. How about an apple and a tomato in this glossy plastic material with leaves and a stem and everything. The details are spot on. You are immediately curious to hold, feel and smell these products. This is skin care when it’s the most pleasurable and fun I feel. A trademark for K-beauty!

Tonymoly’s massage masks Tomatox and Appletox are both very unique and perhaps somewhat difficult to grasp to be honest. What are those masks really, what type of product are we talking about? One might expect some kind of stinging acid peel or a tearing scrub type exfoliation. But both these massage masks look much like creamy, thick concentrated white smooth creams that you simply massage into the skin. But do they really have any effect on the skin at all?

Tonymoly Appletox VS Tomatox exfoliating massage masks face masks from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

I’ll be honest, I was very surprised the first time I used and tested the Tonymoly Appletox and Tonymoly Tomatox massage masks. I had expected more tearing, a greater effect or at least something more …
The feeling at first use was like -What have I missed here?
Tonymoly’s massage masks are creamy and concentrated, and the formula is wonderfully smooth and soft. These masks are easy to apply and massage into the skin. These are 2 really gentle facial masks that feel very soft and kind to the skin. Perfect for sensitive skin types that doesn’t tolerate sharp tearing grains but still needs light exfoliation, for example acne prone skin. You simply massage the product into dry clean skin for a few minutes. Let it sit, then rinse your face. There are some shared opinions about these massage masks in various reviews. Some simply love them, but some say they do not benefit their skin at all…

Tonymoly Massage masks contain no sharp tearing grains nor strong acids. These masks are all about incredibly gentle and soft exfoliation.

Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack

Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack gentle exfoliating face mask Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

The Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack is all about clear skin and providing new radiance and a brightening effect. Ingredients include tomato extract, centella and various fruit extracts like lemon. A multi functional nourishing massage mask that is soothing the skin, detoxifying, providing new radiance, smoothing out the skin tone, targeting age spots and pigmentation, revitalizing, softening and hydrating the skin. The Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack contains high levels of antioxidants protecting the skin against free radicals and external stress.

Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack has a natural and fresh scent of tomato. A mild and pleasant scent. I’ve noticed very few small grains in this cream, but it’s definitely not a question about a facial scrub – at all. The cream looks concentrated in the jar but still feels airy and easy to apply on the skin. Even if you massage your skin effectively with this cream for 2 minutes, the cream is still not fully absorbed by the skin. It kinda stays on the surface of the skin, like a white mask. I almost get the vibe of a classic creamy clay mask. No tightening drying feeling at all during the treatment time. The mask feels soft and comfortable to wear. After rinsing off the mask, the skin feels fresh, clean, soft and smooth. I find that the skin is absorbing other skin care products easier after using this massage mask. Very nice! I would describe Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack as a soft, creamy, slightly exfoliating, cleansing and refreshing facial mask. Almost like a creamy airy clay mask.

Massage the Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack onto clean dry skin for about 1-2 minutes. Allow the face mask to work for another 5-10 minutes, then rinse your face. I would mainly recommend Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream for targeting an uneven skin tone, pigmentation, dark spots or tired dull skin in need of new radiance and a brightening effect. The mask is suitable for normal, combination and oily skin types. Also perfect as a gentle exfoliating mask for acne prone skin. Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack does make dry skin feel tight and almost stripped after use. Rather go for the Appletox mask if you have dry skin.

Make sure to massage the skin thoroughly using the Tonymoly massage masks to get the best possible results. Otherwise, there might be a “meh” moment with these 2 products.

Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream

Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream gentle exfoliating facial mask Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

The Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream provides a “flawless” complexion with its revitalizing effect. This facial mask is enriched with vitamins and minerals from apples. In addition to apple extract, it also contains papaya and AHA. The Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream is gently exfoliating, soothing, softening and hydrating the skin. This face mask provides new radiance, a brightening effect, moisture and nourishment to the skin.

The apple mask has the most delightful scent of green apples. I love it, the scent is spot on! You almost want to dive into the jar, jummy. The massage cream is white and creamy but at the same time it’s airy in some way. Much like a concentrated lotion. I usually take a quite big amount of product and massage it into the skin for a few minutes, until all the product has been fully absorbed by the skin. Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream is easy to apply and massage into the skin. It’s almost like you feel the acids in this product during the treatment. Especially if you leave the mask on your skin for a little too long. You know that somewhat stinging sensation. Let the mask work for 1 more minute after the massage, then rinse. Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream leaves the skin soft and supple and not at all dehydrated. My dry skin tends to feel tight after using exfoliating masks, but this one works well on dry skin. I would describe Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream as a softening, creamy and refreshing gentle facial mask with the most amazing scent of apples.

Massage the Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream onto clean dry skin for about 2 minutes. Allow the face mask to work for another 30 seconds. Then rinse your face. I would mainly recommend Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream to tired dull skin, rough skin, acne prone skin and dry skin types. Suitable for normal, dry and combination skin. This one does not feel stripping or drying after application.

Tonymoly’s Massage Masks are super gentle to the skin. These masks provide a refreshing and very soft exfoliating effect.

Tonymoly Appletox VS Tomatox exfoliating massage masks face masks from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

The green Tonymoly Appletox mask is more hydrating and it exfoliates the skin with gentle acids. The product is absorbed by the skin during treatment. The texture is slightly lighter, glossier and more airy than the red one. The red Tomatox mask is more like a creamy clay mask that sits on top of the skin. It contains very few small grains and the mask is targeting an uneven skin tone and pigmentation. The texture is slightly more dense and concentrated, and the color is bright white.

Use the red Tonymoly Tomatox Magic Massage Pack if you want a detox effect and clear skin with new radiance and a smoother skin tone or if you have normal, combination or oily skin. Use the green Tonymoly Appletox Smooth Massage Peeling Cream if you want an exfoliating, hydrating, nourishing and softening facial mask that refreshes the skin or if you have normal, combination or dry skin. I would think that both of these masks are perfectly suitable for acne prone skin or sensitive skin that needs gentle exfoliation. Make sure to massage the skin properly with these masks to achieve the maximum effect. Otherwise these masks might fall a little flat.

Have you tested these Tonymoly’s massage masks? What did you think? Feel free to share in the comments below…

Why should you use cleansing oils?

Why use cleansing oils at all? Isn’t a foaming cleanser enough? How do you feel about this topic?

I asked you on Instagram the other day if you use cleansing oils or not? A full 86% of you said YES, but 14% answered “Why?”. That’s why I decided to write a post about exactly that, Korean cleansing oils. I’m also gonna talk about the so-called double cleansing process and why cleansing oils are a must, even if you use other types of cleansing products.

Personally, I use both a cleansing oil and a foam cleanser every single night. This is what’s called the “double cleansing” routine, and it’s typical in Korea. If I wear heavy makeup, an additional eye makeup remover might be needed for the eye area. The first thing I noticed when I started to double cleanse was that the skin was really thoroughly cleansed in a new way. I no longer needed a toner to remove the last bits of residue. The skin was already clean. I still use toners, but for skin toning benefits, not for cleansing. Nowadays, I would never dream of going to bed without a proper cleansing routine, especially after wearing makeup.

Korean cleansing oil from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe
Review Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil cleansing oil from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

Why use cleansing oils?

There are different types of dirt and impurities actually. The rule is that water-based dirt is removed with a water-based cleanser. And oil-based dirt is removed with an oil-based cleanser, for example a cleansing oil. Mascara, SPF and waterproof eye liners often require an oil-based cleanser, as does most foundations and BB creams. The oil also removes excess oils from the skin strangely enough. Sweat on the other hand, is considered water-based dirt. Your foaming water-based cleanser can also be working for your benefit by targeting your skin type, preventing acne or maintaining a healthy PH balance in the skin. In short, to remove ALL dirt and prevent clogged pores, you do need both a cleansing oil followed by a foam cleanser. You can also think that if you apply creams, spf and makeup in several layers, then several steps are needed to remove everything. Sounds reasonable, right?

If you are a wet-wipe type gal who skips proper cleansing, then my tip is to give double cleansing an honest chance. You will see great results in your skin for sure.

If you haven’t tried a Korean cleansing oil before, then here are some tips on a couple of well-chosen awesome products. Korean cleansing oils are very nice and affordable costing around8-15 / pc. They are gentle and doesn’t irritate the skin or the eyes. And they melt away makeup and impurities without the need to rub a whole lot. Banila Co came up with this groundbreaking cleansing balm in solid form some years ago, and other brands have followed since. It’s a matter of taste really going for a solid or a liquid cleansing oil. Here are a few tips of good quality Korean oil-based cleansers, which I highly recommend!

6 x Sheet mask favourites

This summer I have tested quite a few new Korean sheet masks and today I’m sharing all of my personal favourites.

What kind of Korean sheet masks do you like best? Do you like thin or thick sheet masks? Scented or without fragrance? Do you like light-flowing and refreshing essence? Or milky, creamy and rich essence? Actually, I like both, depending on whether I apply the mask in the morning or evening, and whether it’s summer or winter. I can really appreciate thin sheet masks refreshing the skin, when it’s all about pure moisture! But I also like thick sheet masks that really embrace the whole face with lovely creamy essence. If there is something I do not like however, it’s that smell of alcohol! Otherwise, I do prefer sheet masks with faint mild scents of all kinds. “Natural” scents over sweet artificial fragrances if I have to choose. What are your opinions on sheet masks, feel free to comment and share your thoughts.

Make P:rem Blending Me Nourishing Oil Mask

Make P: rem Blending Me Nourishing Oil Mask sheet mask from Korea dry skin K-beauty Blog Europe

Make P:rem Blending Me Nourishing Oil Mask is a unique Korean sheet mask that you either love or hate I feel. The material is thin and “paper-like” with small holes in it. The material looks very similar to a tea bag. This sheet mask has this amazing “clean” scent towards aromatherapy, nourishing summer, sunscreen, lemon and healthy herbal tea. Make P:rem Blending Me Nourishing Oil Mask is surprisingly packed with thin, light-flowing translucent essence. The essence is not at all heavy and not particularly “fatty”, but it certainly resembles a light oil looking closely. The sheet mask has an OK fit, a little bit too small on my forehead and nose. Other than that, great adherence and the mask won’t move throughout the treatment period. Afterwards, the skin is extremely sticky, I mean extremely! The skin is deeply nourished and quite heavily moisturized. Almost a somewhat oily feeling, and now I really understand the concept of an “oil mask”. This is a hard core deep care sheet mask for dry and very dry skin types and it’s preferably used at night. No sheet mask for those who dislike stickyness. Don’t forget to make full use of all the amazing leftover essence inside the packaging. Apply it in your evening routine or on top of your hands, neck and decolletage. This sheet mask is highly recommended as a deeply nourishing bomb for dry skin types!

An absolutely OK fit and good adherence. Nice hydrating and cooling feeling on the skin during the treatment period. Nature Republic Shea Butter Mask Sheet is a gentle, non irritant and embracing sheet mask that feels like a soft hug. Not very sticky after use, but the skin feels properly and deeply nourished. The skin is heavily moisturized, almost oily after treatment. Nature Republic Shea Butter Mask Sheet is a nice relief for dry skin, and I would think that this sheet mask is also suitable for sensitive skin types as it’s very gentle. Highly recommended for dry and very dry skin, mainly as a sheet mask before night. A must for shea butter lovers. This sheet mask is awesome you guys! I got this amazing sheet mask from an equally amazing reader named Mira @mira_sweden, thank you so very much Mira! Goodal Premium Snail Tone-up Hydro Gel Mask comes in a large luxury packaging with silver prints on it. The lux premium feel is inevitable. The formula includes gold snail secretion filtrate, white ginseng and pearl extract. The sheet mask itself is a 2-piece hydrogel mask. Hydrogel is a natural plastic-like soft material. There is one mask for the upper part of the face and one for the lower part which gives a perfect fit that can be adjusted. The sheet mask is packed with a slippery gel-like essence that have the most amazing gentle scent of skin care, I love it! This sheet mask keeps moisture incredibly well during the treatment period. The skin becomes fresh, healthy looking, nourished and deeply hydrated without being shiny or oily. Extremely sticky when the essence is absorbed by the skin and a properly moisturized feel after application. I don’t see any great results on wrinkles unfortunately but the skin does feel firmer and almost “lifted” from the inside in some strange way. Suitable for all skin types. This is a high quality premium sheet mask well worth trying in my opinion. A sheet mask out of the ordinary, I simply love it!

Holika Holika Water Melon Mask Sheet mask watermelon from Korea Korean skincare K-beauty Blog Europe

What is a summer without watermelon I ask? Holika Holika Water Melon Mask Sheet is the perfect holiday sheet mask I must say. Nice colorful packaging, very summery and it’s nourishing the skin. This sheet mask contains a full 90% watermelon extract. It’s a lightweight, fresh and hydrating mask that doesn’t feel heavy or oily. The sheet mask itself is light pink and the material is very thin and soft, almost looking like a net or a tea bag. Good fit with many small cuts at the edges of the mask. Plus two extra pieces under the eyes that can be folded under the eyes, or applied over the eyelids. This sheet mask is packed with a full 25ml of transparent and light flowing essence. Lovely fresh scent of sweet watermelon. Follow the instructions with a maximum of 10-20 minutes of use, otherwise the mask may start to dry. The skin feels sticky for a while after application so I would recommend using a light face cream after this sheet mask to remove the stickiness. The skin looks healthy and fresh with new radiance, and the skin feels properly moisturized after use. The effect was richer and “heavier” than expected, even though the essence is thin and light. Mostly recommended for normal, dry and combination skin types. And for those who love watermelon indeed! A really nice summery sheet mask and perfect to use by the pool with a drink in one hand. Don’t forget to make use of all the lovely essence left inside the packaging as well. Apply it in your evening routine or on top of your hands, neck and decolletage.

After application, the skin is fresh and nourished with a new healthy glow, but without feeling oily or fatty. Not very sticky at all, and the essence is nicely absorbed by the skin. A deeply nourishing sheet mask perfect for normal, mature and dry skin types. I just love this line in general, and especially the Firming mask (but all 3 sheet masks are super great). Too Cool For School Egg Cream Mask line is highly recommended by me!

FULL REVIEW: rating 4.5 / 5

I have used a whole bottle of Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil. A lightweight Korean cleansing oil that is still very effective. Here’s my review.

Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is a Korean cleansing oil that has a lighter and thinner texture than many other cleansing oils. It contains Blue Lotus and Vitamin Complex that protects the skin from external stress, refreshes the skin and providing new radiance. The cleansing oil cleanses the skin efficiently without feeling heavy or thick. The product leaves no oily residue on the skin. Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is marketed as “thin as water but powerful as an oil”.

Review Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil cleansing oil from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil looks incredibly fresh and inviting with its lovely blue color. I think of the summer and the sea. The product comes in a blue plastic bottle. It’s no luxury packaging, but it’s handy and very hygienic. The oil itself is just as promised, more lightweight than many other cleansing oils. The product is transparent, thin and fluid. Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil has a fresh marine / sea type scent.

Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is perfect if you dislike thick heavy duty cleansing oils. This is a lightweight oil that is still effective!

Even though Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is a lighter thinner oil, it is still surprisingly effective. Mascara and foundation is dissolved without too much effort. 1-2 pumps is sufficient to remove impurities and makeup from the skin. Use 2-3 pumps to remove heavy makeup. For everyday makeup, this cleansing oil works like a charm. Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is a great first step in any cleansing routine, then follow with a foaming water-based cleanser. For example, the foam cleanser from the same line Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Foam.

I feel that Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is gentle, but at the same time, it’s effective. This cleansing oil doesn’t burn or sting the eyes, and it doesn’t irritate the skin. You can pretty much open your eyes while cleansing your skin, or even use this product as an eye makeup remover. Very nice in my opinion, and absolutely perfect if you dislike thick heavy cleansing oils! After application, the skin feels soft, clean and fresh but without being stripped or dehydrated. And it leaves no oily greasy residue on the skin. Very nice!

Worth mentioning is that Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil do contain mineral oil. However, I haven’t noticed any problems with clogged pores or blackheads. There are different qualities of mineral oil and how it is produced. Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is still a good quality cleansing oil in my opinion, but it’s worth mentioning.

If you are looking for a light and fresh cleansing oil that is still effective, then Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil is a great choice!

I would recommend Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil to anyone who wants a lightweight cleansing oil that doesn’t feel too thick on the skin. If you have an oilier skin type or if you dislike heavy fatty oils, then Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Foam is ideal. It works great for all skin types really. From normal and dry skin, to combination and oily skin types.

Plus because Missha Super Aqua Watery Cleansing Oil have a thin light texture but it’s still effective. Plus for the handy hygienic packaging and that the oil dissolves makeup and impurities without much effort. Plus because the cleansing oil doesn’t irritate the skin or the eyes. Plus for the refreshing scent. Use 2-3 pumps if you wear layers of heavy makeup. Minus because the scent might be perceived as too strong, especially if you are sensitive to scented skin care. I’ve also noticed that the pump sometimes gets stuck in the down pressed position towards the end when the bottle is almost empty. Overall a really nice Korean cleansing oil that I might buy again. Light, fresh and affordable!

My Korean skincare routine, 6 awesome products

Today I’m sharing my current Korean skincare routine, products I’ve used this whole summer and that I like very much.

I have dry mature skin 40+ and I like skin care products that have a nice balance between moisture and nutrition. During the summer, I took the opportunity to test out quite a few new k-beauty products, and this Korean skincare routine really stuck to me (in this very combination presented). These products together provide both hydration and deep nutrition. The skin becomes moisturized, soft and supple with a natural healthy glow. This is mainly a night time routine I would say. And it’s great for normal to combination skin, dry skin and mature skin. I would also like to say sensitive skin as these products all feel gentle without irritating the skin.

My current Korean skincare routine

I like how these Korean products work together. The skin feels soft, supple and deeply moisturized right after the first application.

I have not included any special cleansers in this routine since I am testing a few different ones from Missha, Nature Republic and Thefaceshop right now. But I always do the double cleansing routine in the evening using a cleansing oil followed by a water-based foam cleanser. For the evening I basically use all of these skin care products and in the morning pretty much all of them except for the sleeping mask. I have happily used the sleeping mask several nights a week. Below, more info about each and every Korean product in the very order I apply them.

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence RX Pro Ferment

Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence RX Pro Ferment Korean Skin Care K-beauty Blog Europe

Those who follow me know that I just love the Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence. In fact, this is one of Missha’s absolute best-selling products and a Korean cult classic by now. I have used this essence for 5+ years now and I always use it as the first essence in my skincare routine. It’s packed with fermented yeast that helps cell renewal, hydrating the skin and making the skin look extra healthy. Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence RX Pro Ferment is the new formula of 2019. This product looks like water and is pretty much scentless. Gently pat the essence into your skin using your hands. A gentle essence with good absorption that doesn’t irritate the skin. Suitable for all skin types from normal, combination and oily skin, to dry, mature and sensitive skin types. A must in my personal skincare routine. This essence costs from 22€ and the bottle is huge at a full 150ml.

It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum

It's Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum from Korea Dry Skin Korean Skin Care K-beauty Blog Europe

I discovered It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum just this winter and I highly recommend this Korean skin care line mainly for dry skin types. The toner is also very amazing. As the name reveals, the key ingredient is deeply hydrating hyaluronic acid. This is actually my second bottle of It’s Skin Hyaluronic Acid Moisture Serum and I just love this product! A milky white serum with a wonderful floral scent towards lilacs. This serum feels rich on the skin and is both softening, hydrating, moisturizing and deeply nourishing. This serum could probably work as a moisturizer on it’s own for normal to combination skin types, especially for the daytime. An incredibly nice and very affordable serum that you can find from about 9€ with free shipping from Korea. If you have dry skin, then don’t miss this serum for the world, it’s the best!

Farm Stay Snail Repair Eye Cream

Farm Stay Snail Repair Eye Cream snail cream snail eye cream from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

OMG!!! Farm Stay Snail Repair Eye Cream is ridiculously cheap and affordable, but this eye cream is actually pretty good in my opinion! A light eye cream that feels refreshing and hydrating without being the least bit heavy or greasy on the skin. Good absorption, and it has a gentle nice formula that doesn’t irritate the skin. A little goes a long way. The texture is much like a moist light lotion. Nice mild skin care scent that is pretty faint. This eye cream contains snail secretion filtrate and it’s healing and repairing damaged skin, preventing dark circles and improving the skin elasticity. The tube is gigantic and it lasts for many months. The fact that Farm Stay Snail Repair Eye Cream only costs from like 4.50€ with free shipping from Korea is nothing but a steal for this quality in my opinion. And it’s suitable for all skin types too, including sensitive skin, irritated red skin, troubled skin and acne prone skin. If you are looking for a refreshing, light, hydrating and above all cheap and affordable eye cream, then don’t hesitate to try this one. It’s almost for free!

Huxley Secret of Sahara Cream: Anti-Gravity

Huxley Secret of Sahara Cream: Anti-Gravity anti age cream mature skin wrinkles night cream face cream from Korea K-beauty Blog Europe

I’ve just started testing out the Korean brand Huxley and the face cream Secrets of Sahara Cream: Anti-Gravity is already one of my Huxley favorites. This is mainly a face cream for normal to dry skin types I would say. The texture is very special and resembles a dense and thick solid creamy body butter if I try to explain. This face cream has a faint minty green color to it, and Huxley’s classic floral scent towards lilies and jasmine. High concentration of Prickly Pear cactus extract (51%), a plant that can survive extreme climate in the Sahara desert. Rich in antioxidants and vitamin E, and it’s anti-age targeting wrinkles & lines. Although this face cream is very thick and creamy, it still has good absorption and doesn’t feel particularly heavy or greasy on the skin. The formula is very unique indeed. I love the soft creamy texture and the skin is instantly moisturized and resilient. Suitable for normal to dry skin types, mature skin and combination skin as a night cream. Really good in my opinion, a luxurious good quality face cream for 20€ only!

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack

Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack sleeping mask from Korea Korean skin care K-beauty Blog Europe

A well known Korean classic that I had to test since I like both their best selling Collagen Cream and also the Collagen Deep Cream. Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack is an incredibly affordable Korean sleeping mask that is applied last in the skin care routine at night, when the skin needs some extra care and nutrition. An additional boost in other words. The product looks like a glossy gel cream. Airy moist and light texture that is easy to apply and really makes a difference to the skin. Green fresh scent. What I like about Etude House Moistfull Collagen Sleeping Pack is that, just as claimed, the skin feels young, full, resilient, elastic and soft like “jelly” after application. Contains super collagen water and Baobab, and this mask is deeply hydrating the skin. You can use a little amount of product or more depending on your skin’s needs. I use it almost every night with pleasure. Suitable for most skin types in need of extra care I would say. Costs only from 9€ with free shipping from Korea, and worth every penny in my opinion. In addition, the jar is huge at a full 100ml. A good Korean budget friendly night mask! (However, I need to mention that it does contain some alcohol, good to know).

Etude House Melting Chocolat Lip Sleeping Mask White Chocolate

Etude House Melting Chocolat Lip Sleeping Mask White Chocolate lip mask lip balm from Korea Korean Skin Care K-beauty Blog Europe

I admit, I’m completely addicted to products that keep my lips soft and moisturized around the clock. Etude House Melting Chocolat Lip Sleeping Mask White Chocolate is a really nice lip mask and does wonders for dry lips in an instant. I would describe this product as a classic “fatty” lip balm that is somewhat a little more intense and long lasting. The lip mask comes in a nice glass jar with screw cap. The product looks like a white glossy solid balm and is applied to the lips using your fingers. Delicious scent of vanilla and sweet white chocolate. I like this lip mask more and more the more I use it, and I usually apply it both morning and night. I can reveal that my lips are in absolutely perfect condition. I think this product lasts a long time, moisturizes well and makes the lips supple, soft and healthy looking. I also like that the lips get some shine and feel properly moisturized. Etude House Melting Chocolat Lip Sleeping Mask White Chocolate costs from about 7.50€ and the jar lasts for a long time. Really nice and a must in my skin care routine right now!

My Korean skin care routine

My current Korean skincare routine best Korean skincare dry mature combination skin K-beauty Blog Europe

I have really gotten stuck to this specific Korean skin care routine as this particular combination of products has kept my skin incredibly hydrated and fresh looking throughout the summer. The skin feels resilient, soft and moisturized with nice healthy glow around the clock. And that is a very nice result for me who is 40+ with naturally dry and dull skin. My skin looks fresh, happy and saturated with moisture. I also like that all of these products are so incredibly gentle on the skin without irritating. Nd they are cheap and affordable too! And if I have occasionally tested some strong products or over-exfoliated my skin to the point of redness and irritation, then this particular skin care routine has calmed my skin within 24 hours. I would say that the key products in this skincare routine are the Missha Essence and the It’s Skin Serum, but all these Korean products are great and work well on their own. Awesome in my opinion and all of them are highly recommended by me!

My skin feels very soft, supple and moisturized with this skin care routine. All these Korean products are certainly recommended by me!

FIRST IMPRESSION: Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line

I have tried and tested the Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line. More specifically the toner, the essence and the serum. Here’s my review.

Cliniccare is a Swedish professional salon brand which are developing their skin care products in Korea. Cliniccare’s skin care is based on fine molecular hyaluronic acid, which is one of the basic components of their products. Smaller molecules in the active ingredients means that the skin can absorb these ingredients even better. All Cliniccare products are manufactured in Korea and contain at least 40% active ingredients or more. These products are targeting wrinkles and fine lines as well as slowing down signs of aging. Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line is based on only 3 products that I’m going to review today: the toner, the essence and the serum. There is no cream.

Cliniccares EGF Extra Refresh Skin Care Line at Mimass Beauty Bar Korean Skin Care K-Beauty Blog Europe

Cliniccare currently has no oil-based cleanser nor a regular face cream which I really miss. However, these products work well together if you want somewhat lighter skin care, especially for the summer. The above products also include a foam cleanser and a tinted day cream from Cliniccare. But today I’m reviewing the entire Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line which includes the toner, the essence and the serum (image below). Cliniccare is a Swedish salon brand using an advanced formula as these products are developed in Korea. My expectations for these products were pretty high. The key ingredients in all of these products are fine molecular hyaluronic acid and peptides.

The toner comes in a handy plastic bottle with a pump. I usually use 2 pumps of product on my dry skin. The toner is very fluid almost like water. The product contains hyaluronic acid, portulaca extract, amino acid betaine and peptides. Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh Toner is deeply hydrating the skin without irritating and it’s also activating the cells. Because this toner is caring, the product is patted into the skin using your hands. This toner feels refreshing and hydrating and has a wonderful skin care scent. No sticky feeling at all, but more of a wet and moist feel. The toner is quickly absorbed into the skin, which immediately feels hydrated and smooth. Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh Toner is one of my favorite products from the Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh line. I like this product because it feels refreshing and caring, and I just love the amazing scent.

Cliniccare EFG Extra Refresh Essence

The essence also comes in a handy plastic bottle with a pump. Cliniccare EFG Extra Refresh Essence is almost like a thicker version of the toner, with the same lovely scent. The essence includes ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides, portulaca extract and chamomile. The essence is activating the cells and adding long-lasting moisture. Nice skin care scent and the texture is like a translucent, light flowing gel. I usually take 2 pumps of the essence for maximum hydration. Slightly sticky feeling when patting in the essence on the skin. The skin feels hydrated, moisturized, soft and supple after application.

Cliniccare EFG Extra Refresh Serum comes in the same handy pump bottle as the essence. The serum is white and looks like a light cream or lotion. Cliniccare EFG Extra Refreshing Serum is rich in antioxidants, deeply hydrating and strengthening and restoring the skin. Cliniccare EFG Extra Refresh Serum contains ingredients like hyaluronic acid, peptides and the betaine amino acid. The serum also contains Squalane, a substance that is naturally found in our skin cells and is part of the lipid barrier. I usually use 2 pumps of the serum as well because I have dry skin. Somewhat sticky feeling, but not too bad. The serum melts into the skin and is nicely absorbed. The skin feels moisturized, soft and smooth after application. About the same lovely skin care scent as the essence

Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh Skin Care Line

Overall, I like the Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line. These products are fresh and come in handy hygienic pump bottles that are easy to use without effort. Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line is all about good quality skin care in my opinion. Plus for the lovely scent, especially the toner. Plus for the formula which contains fine molecular hyaluronic acid. Plus because these products are fresh, thin and light but they still make a difference to the skin which is immediately hydrated, soft and moisturized.

Unfortunately, the Cliniccare EGF line didn’t work for my sister with young acne prone combination skin. She almost instantly got break outs on her forehead, along the jaw line and under her nose. Both small pimples and more inflamed acne inside the skin. She has sensitive skin and easily gets break outs if products doesn’t work with her skin. She did try the Cliniccare EGF line for a full week, but then she wanted to quit as the break outs continued. Completely understandable.

On the other hand, a friend of mine with normal mature skin also tried the Cliniccare EFG line. And she liked these products a lot and she used all of them on a daily basis until the bottles were empty. She describes the scent as nice, fresh and easy-going. She liked how nicely the cleanser was foaming and that the toner felt refreshing. She thought the essence felt sticky on the skin but was still pleased with the results. Overall, she was really happy with the products and had nothing to complain about. She gives Cliniccare EFG Extra Refresh skin care line a generous 5/5 in ratings.

Review Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh Skin Care Line Tones Essence Serum Korean Skin Care K-Beauty Blog Europe

Personally, however, I feel that these 3 products alone doesn’t really give me that deep hydration that my dry skin needs. I therefore preferably use 2 pumps of all of these products for maximum hydration. I also miss a complementary face cream, especially at night. Big minus as the prices are much higher than many other Korean skin care brands. This is more of a Swedish pricing range because this brand is in fact Swedish. Cliniccare’s skin care products cost between 60-90 € / pc and sheet masks cost as much as 19 € / pc. Unfortunately, I do not think that this line keeps as high quality as Korean high-end brands in the same price range, for example Sulwhasoo, Hera or Iope. I would also expect more luxurious packaging for that price range. However, this is a really nice and fresh skin care line in my opinion, especially if you are looking for a Swedish brand that you can buy at the salon.

I like the Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line, but the prices are far too expensive for my taste. This is mainly a salon brand within a higher price range.

I would mainly recommend Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh skin care line to mature skin with wrinkles and lines, and for those who want to prevent signs of aging. These products are suitable for normal skin and combination skin where these 3 products are just enough. However, this is not for sensitive skin types as this line might cause break outs. The toner and the essence is also suitable for oily skin I think as they are light and nicely absorbed by the skin. If you add a face cream or sleeping mask then this line would work for dry skin types as well. This is a skin care line with lightweight refreshing products and good absorption, and at the same time the products feel caring and makes a difference to the skin. Good but a little bit too expensive for my taste!

Product: Cliniccare EGF Extra Refresh Skin Care Line
Price: 60-90€ / product
Formula: Contains fine-molecular hyaluronic acid, peptides, portulaca extract and squalane. Thin light products that nourishes and hydrates the skin as well as activating the cells.
Skin type: Mature skin, normal & combination skin. Not for sensitive skin types.

FIRST IMPRESSION: Etude House Pink Vital Water line

I have tested the Etude House Pink Vital Water line. More specifically the toner, serum, emulsion and face cream. Here’s my review.

Etude House Pink Vital Water line is all about hydrated and soft, smooth healthy looking skin. The products include vitamin A, vitamin C, vitamin E, minerals, pink peach water from peach buds. The line is also rich in antioxidants. For a plump, soft and dewy fresh looking skin with a healthy glow.

Review Etude House Pink Vital Water line from Korea Korean Skin Care K-beauty Blog Europe

All products from the Etude House Pink Vital Water line has a summery and dewy fresh peachy flowery scent. The products feel light but at the same time, they are surprisingly moisturizing and softening. Despite the light and airy texture, these products really make a difference to the skin. I would say that the Etude House Pink Vital Water line is the perfect skin care line for normal to dry skin types, dull skin, combination skin and young skin that need something hydrating. Also for those who often look tired, have rough skin or if the skin is dry at the surface. This line is also suitable for drier skin types if layering all the products from this line and adding a sleeping mask in the evening routine. If you have oily skin then the toner and the emulsion work well as light moisturizers. These products are hydrating in a “moist” way, and do not feel heavy on the skin at all. They are well absorbed without being thick och greasy. The skin becomes soft, smooth, supple, plump and moisturized with a healthy natural glow.

The Etude House Pink Vital Water line includes some incredibly affordable products. A Korean skin care line perfect for young normal to dry skin.

I have tested the Etude House Pink Vital Water Special Trial Kit which contains 15ml toner, 15ml emulsion, 5ml serum and 10ml cream. A super affordable set if you want to try the entire Etude House Pink Vital Water line. It costs from about 5€ with free shipping from Korea, and worth every penny if you ask me.

The order in which to apply these products is first the toner, then serum, emulsion and lastly the face cream. Etude House Pink Vital Water line can be used both morning and evening after cleansing. All products complement each other very well I feel. Even though the formula is light and moist, the skin is still deeply hydrated and moisturized after using this line. I have tested all these products one after the other both morning and night for about 2 weeks.

Etude House Pink Vital Water Toner

Full size is 180ml. A revitalizing and hydrating toner. Etude House Pink Vital Water Toner is a translucent toner and looks like a light-flowing serum in texture. Not as thin as water but more similar to an essence. The toner do contain alcohol which is worth mentioning. And you may feel a tiny hint of alcohol in the flowery fruity scent. I like to gently pat in Etude House Pink Vital Water Toner into the skin immediately after cleansing. The skin is instantly hydrated and refreshed. Etude House Pink Vital Water Toner is quickly absorbed into the skin. The feeling on the skin is “watery” and moist rather than oily if you know what I mean. Somewhat sticky feeling as the product is absorbed, similar to applying a juice drink. However, the toner doesn’t leave an oily film, but is immediately absorbed into the skin and the stickiness soon disappears. The skin feels fresh without being oily or greasy. Suitable for all skin types in need of a hydrating toner. From normal, dry and combination skin to oily skin types. The toner was the product I liked the least because of the “sweet juice” sticky type feeling on the skin at application.

Etude House Pink Vital Water Serum

Review Etude House Pink Vital Water Serum from Korea Korean Skin Care K-beauty Blog Europe

The full size serum is a full 80ml. Etude House Pink Vital Water Serum is a very unique serum and contains 75.54% Pink Peach Water. At first glance, this product looks like a normal light-flowing, thin, airy and milky white serum. But as soon as you apply the serum on the skin, the texture changes and the serum suddenly looks watery and moist. Small drops of moisture are formed on the skin, and on the packaging it says “Water Drop Essence”. Etude House Pink Vital Water Serum is all about pure moisture, but also nutrition I would say. Although the serum is thin and light-flowing, the feeling on the skin is still very moisturizing and softening. It’s like this serum goes from watery and moist, to a little more “oily” when fully absorbed. The skin is truly moisturized after application. Slightly sticky feeling when patting in the serum. The skin feels soft, smooth and moisturized but without looking shiny or greasy. This serum is mainly suitable for normal, dry and combination skin types I feel. A very cool, exciting and light very nice serum that really makes a difference to the skin, highly recommended.

Etude House Pink Vital Water Emulsion

Full size is 180ml. The emulsion contains 68.86% Pink Peach Water. Once I’ve reached this step in the skin care routine, I really feel how these products do work well together. The skin becomes more and more hydrated and moisturized with each step. Etude House Pink Vital Water Emulsion looks like a classic airy white lotion and the feeling on the skin is wonderful. The skin feels incredibly smooth, supple, plump and soft I have to say. The emulsion is hydrating the skin well and together with the serum, the skin feels nourished and moisturized but without being greasy. Etude House Pink Vital Water Emulsion should work well as a lightweight moisturizer on its own, especially for normal skin, combination skin and oily skin types. For dry skin, I would use this emulsion together with the serum and cream for maximum hydration.

Etude House Pink Vital Water Cream

The last step and the icing on the cake. Etude House Pink Vital Water Cream in full size is 60ml. A nice face cream that feels hydrating and softening. Not too rich, not to light. White, glossy and airy light texture looking like creamy yogurt in the jar. The face cream feels soft and moist on the skin and not at all thick or heavy. The product is well absorbed by the skin, and the skin is immediately supple, soft and smooth. Moisturized feeling but without the cream feeling greasy. Etude House Pink Vital Water Cream is suitable for most skin types I feel. Especially for young skin, tired and dull skin, rough skin and flaky skin. Also for normal and combination skin types or if the skin is dry at the surface. If you have dry skin, then use the cream together with the serum and emulsion for maximum hydration. Although Etude House Pink Vital Water Cream has a light and airy texture, the cream still hydrates the skin well I feel. A nice and decent face cream in every way in my opinion. Highly recommended for most skin types.

Etude House Pink Vital Water line is a young, happy and dewy fresh skin care line I feel. And the products are incredibly cheap and affordable as well.

Overall, I like the Etude House Pink Vital Water line a lot. These products were actually more hydrating and softening than expected. And all products worked well together on my dry mature skin. This is a light, fresh and floral skin care line providing soft, dewy and hydrated skin with a healthy glow. The perfect line for most skin types, or when you don’t know where to start. Also, these products are all cheap and incredibly affordable costing around 7-15€ / pc. The price tag is a very nice bonus. This trial kit costs from like 5€ and it’s absolutely perfect for testing the Etude House Pink Vital Water line I feel. The toner was the product I liked the least because of the sticky “sweet juice” feeling immediately after application.

Plus because the Etude House Pink Vital Water line includes wonderfully fresh, hydrating and softening products at an incredibly cheap price range. Plus because these products hydrates the skin well without feeling heavy or greasy on the skin. Plus for the fruity floral dewy-fresh scent and that these products are suitable for most skin types. Plus because the skin becomes incredibly smooth, supple, soft and fresh looking after application. A small minus for the sticky type feeling after using the toner, and perhaps the packaging feels somewhat plastic. But hey, who cares! I highly recommend the Etude House Pink Vital Water line for most skin types, especially the serum and face cream. Really nice products, I am actually very impressed because of the cheap price range. I really didn’t expect that!

K-beauty finds from this year’s summer sale!

Department stores selling K-beauty in Sweden are for example H&M, Åhléns and Kicks. Here are my latest finds from the sales.

A few weeks ago I found a lot of K-beauty products at H&M’s sale. Many of you asked me in which store, because every H&M in Sweden doesn’t seem to sell Korean skin care? I bought all of these products from the Korean brand It’s Skin at H&M in Kista Centrum and at H&M Götgatsbacken / Slussen in Stockholm City. I have also seen K-beauty sales at H&M in Mall of Scandinavia. My tip is to browse around different stores or search for K-beauty online. However, it seems that H&M is reducing their K-beauty range at the moment, and maybe waiting for the next wave. H&M is often quick to adjust the range of brands to current trends. I’m hoping for more K-beauty on the future!

Åhléns in Stockholm has also got a really good K-beauty sale going this year. I have seen a lot of discounts on Korean products at Åhlens in Mall of Scandinavia and especially at Åhléns City in Stockholm. Åhléns have had sales of brands like Mizon, Missha, It´s Skin, Blithe and Too Cool For School. Åhléns City’s K-beauty range is really great if you have the opportunity to go there. See image below from this year’s Åhléns summer sale.

Buy K-beauty online in Swedish stores

The K-beauty range in smaller cities in Sweden is very limited. Then it’s time to search for K-beauty online. For example, at Kicks which sells Korean brands like Benton & Cremorlab. Åhlens also has really good selection of brands online including Missha, Too Cool For School, It´s Skin, Benton, Blithe, Shangpree, Cremorlab and Aromatica. I would also like to push for Eleven offering a whole K-beauty section on their web site. Here you will find brands like Holka Holika, Skin79, It´s Skin, Mizon, Huxley, Benton, Kocostar, Leaders, J.ONE, Mediheal, Manefit and many more. Lyko also has a very good selection of Korean products including brands like Tonymoly, Mizon, Missha, Holika Holika, A’pieu, Shangpree, Kocostar, Dr. jart+, Aromatica, Benton, Berrisom and Cremorlab to name a few. And clearly you can’t forget about Sephora online! Here you will find brands like Tonymoly, Belif, Dr Jart+, Erborian, Caolion and Kocostar among others.

From where do you shop for K-beauty? In a physical store, online or do you order directly from Korea? Please share in the comments.

Behind the scenes: K-beauty bachelorette party!

One clearly must have a K-beauty SPA session included in a successful bachelorette “bride to be” party, do you agree? Get that glow going babes!

Last weekend, I helped my sister to arrange this fun “bride to be” party for her best friend. My contribution on the schedule was of course a K-beauty SPA session including various korean facial masks, serums, creams, sheet masks and of course lots of sparkling beverages. We shared some skin care tips, hysterical laughs and the glow was definitely on. Here comes a little sneak peek from the bridal shower that was arranged in my house in Stockholm City. There were mimosa drinks, sparkling beverages, a delicious brunch and lots of Korean skin care. Fortunately, the weather was sunny this Saturday, at least in Stockholm. Join our bachelorette party you guys, this is the final result…

Korean skin care is crazy fun in company with friends, let me tell you! Imagine seeing your curious but nervous friends trying on a sheet mask for the very first time – without a mirror hahaha. Hilarious! There were many lovely laughs and some AHA moments actually. The girls really liked the Huxley Secret of Sahara Toner Extract It which have the most wonderful floral scent towards lily of the valley flowers and jasmine. It’s Skin Power 10 Formula GF Effector was very popular as well. Kocostar Princess Eye Patch Gold hydro-gel eye masks were a clear hit. Also the Skinfood Freshmade Coconut Mask was the icing on the cake with its lovely summery coconut scent. In short, a very successful and fun start for the Bridal shower party!
